The Australia Sports Tech World Series is taking place in Melbourne from the 17th to the 23rd of August, with Stats Perform involved across the action.

The Hacakthon kicks off Australia's Sports Technology Week in Melbourne on the 17th and 18th of August. Opta have partnered with the Australia Sports Tech Cup to power the 2-day hackathon, using performance data from the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. This will provide guests the chance to work with real game data, and produce solutions to answer the specific challenge question. 

 

 

 

Guests from a variety of backgrounds including professionals, academics and university students, will collaborate to create solutions and showcase creativity, passion and innovation within sports analytics and data.

The SportsTech Conference follows on August 23rd, aiming to draw together industry professionals and executives interested in the role of data, digital and technology in the sports, media and entertainment industry. Stats Perform speakers feature within the agenda. Patrick Lucey, VP of Artificial Intelligence, will be speaking as part of the Sports Technology, Technical and Data Science track, discussing the value that artificial intelligence can offer to sports.

Tom Worville, Senior Data Analyst, will also appear on the same track, discussing the data-powered football stories emerging from the English Premier League.
