Throughout the World Cup, our content will be delivered via a broad range of data feeds, Opta’s easily customisable, highly visual and easy to use widgets as well as data-powered content from our expert data editorial team.

A look back at the 2015 World Cup

The 2015 Player of the Tournament was New Zealand's Dan Carter, helping his side capture back-to-back World Cup titles. Carter's man-of-the-match performance in the final against Australia was a fitting way to call time on his glittering All Blacks career, finishing the game as New Zealand's top tackler with 12 and kicking for 19 points. New Zealand will head to Japan as overwhelming tournament favourites but will they make it three-in-a-row without their imperious fly-half?
