IBM partners with Opta to create Try Tracker App


Increased data insight helps IBM maximise their sponsorship of the RFU

IBM were looking to use their sponsorship of the RFU as a platform to increase awareness and engagement with the brand. Through a partnership with Opta, IBM were able to achieve this through the provision of IBM branded content to power the RFU website.

With access to a wealth of live and detailed information via Opta’s selection of data feeds, IBM created their own Try Tracker programme which provided bespoke and detailed insight into all RFU games. This helped IBM expand their social profile, provide insightful information to rugby fans and increase engagement with the brand.
