Opta partner with US Soccer to become the Federation’s official Live Match Data Provider

Opta have signed a three-year deal with US Soccer which will see them assist in the ongoing effort to place soccer at the forefront of US sport through the development of world class players, coaches and referees, and the engagement of fans in deeper more meaningful ways. As part of the deal Opta will support the USSF’s efforts to develop and identify youth players, provide performance analysis of the men’s and women’s national teams, and create data-driven digital content for fans.

The agreement includes data collection and management for all Men’s and Women’s National Team games, and access to ProVision - the industry leading data and video analysis tool - powered by OptaPro and TruMedia Networks. Opta will also collect and manage data for all Under-16/17 and Under-18/19 U.S. national and academy matches, forming an objective, data-grounded pathway for the improvement and identification of top youth players in the country.

Opta’s extensive bank of detailed data will provide compelling opportunities to engage fans. Opta’s live statistics will be optimised across digital and social channels including the creation of new match centres, with player and team statistics, for fans to dive deeper into each performance across Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
