NEWS German Sports News Channel Sky Sport News HD Teams Up With Opta

06th December 2011

Opta has extended its deal with Sky Germany to include comprehensive provision of content to the new Sky Sport News HD channel.

This deal means that Opta will deliver facts and stories to members of the 90 strong editorial team and also data feeds from around 40 sports to power on screen tickers and graphics.

Opta’s data editors have been based in the Sky Sport News HQ since the start of the test phase in November, supporting the presenters and Sky editorial team.  Dirk Ifsen, Managing Director, Opta Germany,  says “With our experts based at the Sky premises we can react immediately and deliver information to the Sky Sport News team straight away”

Roman Steuer (Head of Programming, Sky Sport News HD) commented: “We are able to present the very latest in sport to the audience with the launch of Sky Sport News HD.  We are happy to rely on the expertise of Opta and develop the established collaboration with this innovative project.”
